Eloping means breaking free of the mold and choosing to get married in your own, meaningful way. Allowing yourself to wander the road a little less traveled, intentionally. And love like no one is watching– because guess what, when you elope in those rugged spaces, chances are…they’re not.
I know what it’s like to want something different for your wedding day. That’s why I feel so passionate about making new traditions and letting your spirit of wander guide you. Your wedding day doesn’t have to cater to other people’s whims and desires, this day should be truly about you.
What Your Elopement Could Feel Like...
I want you to picture this…its a crisp autumn morning. No one is awake yet but you can feel the deep breaths of your partner in bed next to you. Though you still have some time before you need to start getting dressed, the butterflies are starting to build as you know what’s to come. Your wedding day is here and the little cabin you spent days researching is exactly what you hoped for– quaint, lonely and with a view that gets your heart racing. You know the trek to the ceremony spot isn’t too far away and you’re looking forward to the rush of hiking in the dark to get to the viewpoint at the top as the alpen glow of morning hits the peaks just right. Fumbling for a pen, you add a few last minute thoughts to your vows and know its perfect. As the chirps of the early morning continue to play a melody you’ll remember for years to come, you feel your partner wrap their arms around your shoulders and pull you in. You take in the stillness, the quiet, the feel of each other’s embrace and know you’re ready to start this new adventure in the book of your lives…
Having your own adventure elopement is radically and amazingly different...
So let me answer some of your questions:
- Can I invite people to my elopement? – YES, you can totally still invite your most important family and friends to your elopement. There are a lot of amazing locations that can accommodate a larger group.
*usually 25 or less
- Is having an elopement selfish? – NO, just because you’re eloping, doesn’t mean you’re being selfish! In reality, eloping makes the most of a day that’s supposed to be about you and your partner without pressuring others to attend.
- Is this just an all day photoshoot? – HECK NO, there really is no shortage of things to do on your elopement. Just think of it as a day where you get to get married AND have the once in a lifetime adventures you’ve dreamed of, with me in the background to document it.

So what do you get when you hire me as your Elopement Photographer?
You don’t need to know EXACTLY where you want to elope before booking with me! Upon booking your elopement date, I like to send all of my couples a quick and easy location questionnaire. This just helps me to figure out what kind of location would suit you and your partner BEST! From there, I’ll do my best to find a few different location options you could choose from. I’ll be sure to be as thorough as possible so you can choose the location that speaks to you both the best.
Just like no two couples are alike, no two wedding days should be either. I help you to figure out just how you want to spend your elopement day.When booking me as your elopement photographer, I will help you come up with a timeline of your day to help ensure that your day is as full of love and memories as you want. I will do my best to come up with a timeline as adventurous as you are!
I know that permits and legalities may not be the most glamorous thing to think about when planning your elopement–but it matters. As your elopement photographer, I will help you to contact the proper offices to get the permits needed when getting married in all those awe inspiring places.I promise, it’s not as intimidating as it sounds, and getting those permits helps to keep those wild places, well…wild.
I absolutely love that I am able to offer ALL of my booked elopement couples a JAM PACKED guide to help you plan your important day. This guide is full of ideas and tips you can use to make your elopement experience as seamless as possible. This is an INCREDIBLE resource that I am able to offer exclusively to all of my eloping couples!
